Condolences to the Sikh community

To the Sikh community among us:

You have been a quiet and peace loving people among us, and we deeply regret this outrageous and unspeakable act against you.  We are ashamed that it happened within our borders, and sincerely hope that it never happens again.  This act is not the Christian way.  We beg of you to forgive us for not providing better protection from such mad terrorists, and pray that you will be able, once again, to walk among us in freedom and without fear.  We cannot bring back your loved ones from the grave, nor can we undo this despicable cowardly act, but we shall stand with you in your hour of sorrow, and beg you to understand that we care about you and hate what this rabid maniac did to you.  Your grief and frustration are our grief and frustration.

Sincerely,
Herb Swanson
